    Trapper Ed course news: We’re excited to share that the AFWA North American Trapper Education Program is moving to a new platform on May 1, 2025, now hosted in partnership with the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA). This collaboration marks an important step forward, and we’re confident it will enhance your learning experience. The new site will offer improved access to educational resources focused on trapping, as well as the conservation and management of furbearers across North America. We look forward to continuing this important work together in a new dynamic and accessible environment.


    New users will no longer be able to access the course on this site. Current users can continue to access the trapper course on this site through April 30. If you are currently working in the course we recommend you complete it and save your certificate by end of day April 30.

    To access your Project WILD course, log in and click on My Courses. If you have difficulty accessing the course, please email projectwild@fishwildlife.org.
    Please note for Project WILD Courses: we have implemented a new feature that allows you to pay at the time of registration. 
    1. Make sure you are logged in to your account. If you don't have an account you will need to create one.
    2. Click on "Dashboard" at the top left of your screen.
    3. Click "Register and purchase for myself" in the block to the right of the screen. You may need to click the arrow to open the block drawer. If you don't see the block to Register, you may need to try a different internet browser. Our site works best with Google Chrome. 
    4. All available courses and webinars will be listed on that page. Click "Checkout" on the option you would like to register for.
    5. Enter required payment information and click Pay.
    6. You will receive a receipt via email. 


    If you would like to purchase a course or webinar for someone else, there is an option to "Purchase for others". You will pay for the course or webinar and receive a voucher code. You would then provide that voucher code to the user who will enter it in the promo code box upon registering. 

    To locate vouchers you have purchased, please do the following:

    • Log in.
    • Click the down pointing arrow in the top right-hand corner beside your name/icon.
    • Click Profile.
    • Scroll down to the section titled Commerce and click My vouchers.
    • Vouchers you have purchased are listed here.
    • Click the paper icon to the right to copy the voucher redemption URL.
    • Provide the link to the individual you purchased the voucher for. They will use this link to enroll.

    Please note, an individual is not enrolled just by purchasing the voucher. They must use the voucher redemption URL to complete enrollment. 

    Our site works best with Google Chrome. If you are not seeing the Purchase buttons, you may need to switch your browser to Chrome.
